No, non è diventato un blog monolingue. Scusate, non riesco a fare di meglio per il momento! | One of these mornings, to cheer me up, I spent half an hour jotting down most of the new Bruce/Doc ficlet. Bruce Banner isn't in it: it's a dialogue between Doc Samson and the very perceptive Emma Frost. I'd like to write something Civil War-inspired and set a couple of things right, but that will have to be after Transformers. So I was wondering about slash fics. I support gays in real life, as long as they don't make themselves obnoxious, just like I can't stand macho men or female sex bombs in the het field. I think this is reflected in my fics and in the best slash fics I read. The guys behave just like any of us, they just love another man. This put me in a mood of wanting to see cute men together and I found a pretty and tasteful Band of Brothers pic. In the afternoon Kit sends me a link to a hilarious slash ficlet on Ysal. Telepathy works. After picking myself up from the floor, I have a look at Ysal to see if they have Transformers, but they don't. So I have a peek at fanfiction.net and instead of looking for TF I look for BoB. (Shadar will kill me, later you'll know why.) I'm divided on this BoB topic. There are some lovely stories. But these are or were real persons (I've discovered Speirs died last year - sad), and this makes me uncomfortable. I read them gladly; I'd never write one, slash or het. Then I thought: Theodoric was a real person too, and I had him do some pretty strange stuff in my stories. Yes, but it was a long time ago, and there are no descendants that can be offended. Then, again, I thought: Wellington is the protagonist of my Maeve saga, and he's much more recent and has descendants. So does Marshal Ney, my other favourite. Probably that's one of the reasons that makes me think I'll never publish it, contrary to "Dragon" and "Horse". In the afternoon I went out briefly to buy some medecines and as I was walking (an idle brain is a dangerous thing) I thought, "Well, after all I never wrote a Wellington/Ney slash fic." Now you have to understand that these guys have a tendency to intrude in my mind and have conversations on their own, as I just stare. This they did, even after 12 years. The result is below. Maybe one day I'll post the conversation they had when I thought about Maeve and Ney becoming lovers. Hey... maybe I should have tried Welly and Uxbridge... Seriously, Shadar is writing a stunning story about the game "Mass Effect". Go read it! |
