Great source for my novel, though A&A are IV century and Dragon is V century. Great thoughts about Europe, the way it came together taking from so many elements: classical pagan Rome, Christianity, Germanic dynamism (the Vandals weren't just vandals), African culture. It was a moment of crisis for the world, but from it modern European society was born. V. inspiring and a reason of hope for our strife-torn times. |
