APRIL 25

Andata alla manifestazione del 25 aprile con i miei amici ebrei per celebrare la Brigata Ebraica, che aiutò alleati e partigiani a liberare l'Italia nella II guerra mondiale. Nessuno mi ha picchiato e sono riuscita a non picchiare nessuno, anche perché tanti ci applaudivano. Ho ricordato i morti inglesi e alleati al cimitero di guerra inglese. Ho pranzato con Alessandro Cecchi Paone. Ho traversato Milano in bicicletta, sono a pezzi ma felicemente scottata. Molto bene.

Went to April 25 parade with my Jewish friends to celebrate the Jewish Infantry Brigade Group, who helped liberate Italy in WWII with the Allies and the freedom fighters. Was not beaten up and managed not to beat up anyone, also because many applauded. Remembered British and Allied dead at the British War Cemetery. Had lunch with Alessandro Cecchi Paone (American friends, think of... ok, can't think of anyone over there, but he is a journalist and science-history divulgator). Rode through Milan on my bicycle, am in pieces but happily sunburned. V. good.
