Sorry... non ho tempo! | As I was saying, I have now 5 planned stories, splitting the last one in 2. The 4th is a cliffhanger, with 3 main characters possibly dead at the end. Apart from the characters pulling at my sleeve to make me write more about them, I've discovered each one deals with a very serious theme: - Pandora's Box: Bio-ethics - Two Lives, One Nightmare: Abuse and PTSD - We, The People: Politics - The Question: Personal freedom and rights - The Answer: Forgiveness I don't even know what "the answer" is. I had a brilliant idea but I don't know whether it's feasible. I'm finding I NEED to write all the stories together, otherwise there would be too much of a jump in style from the first to the last. I can still write incredibly awful scenes, though. For "The Answer" I wrote a terrific bonding scene between Bee, Rod and the surprise character, and then a Ratch-Rod scene which feels totally off. Ratch is easy to write out of character and I need to be careful. I'm translating Pandora's Box (formerly "Behind the Mask") and I love the passion in it, something that is more taken for granted in the sequels. I still feel that Opti crying after Elita's "return" and his whole emo show and Ratchet hitting him are out of character. I might rewrite it a little to make it smoother. I'm finding theme songs for EVERYBODY but Starscream. This must be fixed at once. I need a totally desperate, anguished, hopeless theme... OK, maybe I know why I can't find one. "Behind Blue Eyes" would be perfect, if only the Screamer had blue eyes. I'll have to look into Metallica again. They have a song for everything. But my Starscream is getting better and better, maybe because of the actor I chose as his hologram. (don't click if you don't want to be spoiled!) You'll see him in bathing trunks - it's not gratuitous, there's a plot reason! I'm also going on and on and on about how handsome he is even in robot mode. But of course... he is the rebel angel. I MIGHT need a Rodimus hologram. I can't think of one and I might not even write the scene he appears in, but I'd love for it to be totally inappropriate. He is inexperienced with humans, of course. Or maybe one of the others plays him a prank. "Human" Rod is usually depicted as red-haired, and my Ratch is already red-haired, so maybe a strawberry blonde... but I can't think of anyone. In other news: Shadar wrote a TF spinoff. How cool is she? And how cool is Kit who featured my Opti in her picture blog (duly added to my links)? Yeah, those are my hands and my camera strap. I'd comment if I remembered my MSN account... I'm, er, "acquiring" the Transformers game. I have a sudden doubt: is it in English or Italian? I'm doing it just for Peter's voice... oh well, we'll see. |
