I'm having Rodimus in future stories. The initiated will start cursing. For the non-initiated, there once was a young Autobot named Hot Rod. On one of his many death beds (two if we don't mind that the second time he comes back as a zombie) Optimus left him command of the Autobots and named him... Hot Rod Prime, of course! No. RODIMUS PRIME. I think the sheer stupidity of the concept is one of the reasons why he's so hated (beside causing Opti's death and being generally a so-so leader). Why the hell is he the only one to change his name when he becomes Prime? OK, Orion becomes Optimus, but I think it has more to do with completely changing his appearance, rather than becoming Prime. If ever, he should become Orionimus (ew). But then we should have Sentinellimus Prime, Vectorimus Prime, and since we're at it, Elitimus Prime. We can only assume that Optimus deliberately names Rodimus after himself, which I think is conceited and plain stupid storywise. So Rodimus will be Rodimus from Day One in my stories. Maybe they'll call him Hot Rod or just Rod to tease him. I warmed to the character since seeing a drawing on DeviantArt which I'll find again sometime. And yes, he'll be Rodimus Prime sooner or later (ta-dum!) |
