Sabato, quando sono andata a fare shopping con la mia amica, ho comprato un libro su Inzaghi e "Il volto di Cristo" di Flavio Caroli. Sì, sono eclettica. Il libro su Inzaghi è il tipico instant book, ma è stato divertente sfogliarlo e scoprire che ha davvero una cicatrice sul labbro, che non ho mai notato. Una volta un'amica mi ha detto: "L'hanno ricucita male, prima era più bello." Più bello? Allora è stato il destino a dargli quella cicatrice, o incenerirebbe migliaia in tutte le direzioni con la sua bellezza ogni volta che mette piede fuori... Non è la stessa cosa con Gesù Cristo, almeno non fino a quando non trovo il film con Henry Ian Cusick (sigh), ma il libro è eccezionale per gli appassionati di arte che cercano anche la spiritualità nell'arte. L'autore è di Ravenna - non lo sapevo quando l'ho comprato - e fa una panoramica essenziale sui modi in cui Gesù è stato raffigurato nei secoli, in relazione allo stile dell'arte, al periodo storico e al concetto religioso in evoluzione. Ogni opera discussa è riprodotta nella sezione immagini, e c'è una ricca bibliografia e un indice.
