Dato che Red Hulk è stato introdotto in modo così catastrofico dai media, ho mosso il fondoschiena e mi sono procurata le ultime uscite. Nei primi due numeri della nuova serie "Hulk" ci sono Iron Man, She-Hulk, Doc Samson, il generale Ross e Bruce Banner (già, dopo che ha sconfitto il suo lato oscuro in "World War Hulk") che cercano e combattono il misterioso Hulk Rosso. E' piuttosto interessante, dato che ho sperato di vedere Bruce come Bruce per SECOLI, per non dire Bruce nella stessa trama con Doc, e Tony e Jen che lavorano di nuovo insieme dopo il fiasco di Civil War. Ahimé, Doc si è tagliato quei suoi bei capelli verdi e non ha gli occhiali, ma è ancora carino. Ed è anche ancora vivo, una cosa che mi preoccupava un po' quando hanno cominciato a parlare di questa cosa. Compare spesso anche in "Iron Man", finalmente come dottore (di Tony, niente meno) e non come braccio della legge (*cough*Giuramento di Ippocrate*cough*) In ogni modo, è una bella storia, non solo un modo per provocare i fans ossessivi. E parlando di CW, ho anche trovato un numero di "What If" chiamato "Civil War 1". Ero così incavolata per CW che non ho mai postato i miei appunti sulla serie. In breve, ho odiato il modo in cui la storia era forzata per dividere gli eroi in buoni e cattivi, e la mancanza di un piano coerente, dato che diversi sceneggiatori hanno affrontato i punti più complessi in modi del tutto contrastanti. Comunque, questa è la migliore storia di CW da "The Confession". Là si vedeva il punto di vista molto emotivo di Tony Stark sulle sue scelte come Iron Man. Qui, dopo il funerale di Cap, viene avvicinato da uno "Sconosciuto" (che è chiaramente l'Osservatore) che gli mostra cosa sarebbe successo senza di lui in CW, e poi un possibile risulato se lui e Cap avessero semplicemente PARLATO un po' di più. O piuttosto, se Tony avesse parlato, invece di tenersi per sé i suoi piani, e Steve avesse ascoltato invece di chiudersi nella sua idealistica torre d'avorio. Questa parte è la migliore, con un sacco di colpi di scena, un finale inatteso e la loro amicizia che traspare da ogni dove. E una citazione di Tony che concorda completamente con la mia filosofia, e sarebbe una bella lezione per tutti i nostri inutili politici: Non basta essere CONTRO qualcosa. Bisogna essere PER qualcosa di MIGLIORE.Certo che se CW fosse andata così, sarebbe durata 1 numero, e la Marvel non avrebbe guadagnato da tutti quei milioni di numeri su migliaia di testate... | Seeing how catastrophically Red Hulk has been introduced in the media, I got off my backside and acquired the latest issues. The first two issues of the new "Hulk" series have Iron Man, She-Hulk, Doc Samson, General Ross and Bruce Banner (yes, after he defeated his dark side in "World War Hulk") searching for and fighting the mysterious Red Hulk. It's pretty interesting, since I've been hoping to see Bruce as Bruce for AGES, not to mention Bruce in the same plot as Doc, and Tony and Jen working together again after the Civil War fiasco. Alas, Doc has cut his lovely green hair and has no glasses, but he's still cute. Also he's still alive, something that I was a bit worried about when they started talking about this thing. He features heavily in "Iron Man" too, at last as a doctor (for Tony, no less) and not as law enforcer (*cough*Hippocratic Oath*cough*) Anyway, it's a good story, not just a way to rile geeky fans. And speaking of CW, I found also a "What If" issue called "Civil War 1". I've been so pissed about CW that I've never posted anywhere the notes I've jotted down about it. Briefly, I hated the way the story was contrived to split the heroes into good guys and bad guys, and the absence of a consistent plan, since different writers tackled the most important issues in completely contrasting ways. Anyway, this is the best CW story since "The Confession". There we saw Tony Stark's very emotional point of view about his choices as Iron Man. Here he is approached after Cap's funeral by a "Stranger" (who is clearly the Watcher) who shows him first what would have happened without him in CW, and then a possible outcome if Cap and him had simply TALKED a bit more. Or rather, if Tony had talked, instead of keeping all his plans secret, and Steve had listened instead of locking himself into his idealistic ivory tower. This part is the best, with lots of twists, an unexpected ending and their friendship shining through everywhere. And a quote from Tony that totally agrees with my philosophy, and would be a good lesson for all our useless politicians: It's not enough to be AGAINST something. You have to be FOR something BETTER.Of course, if CW had happened like this, it would have lasted 1 number and Marvel wouldn't have earned all it did with the millions of issues over thousands of titles... |
