(magari più tardi...) | Before I watch tonight's ep, the last one of Season 3 (I'm spoiled already, but I did it on purpose), here's the almost textual transcript of my comments to the last 3 (grrr) eps: 3.19 The Brig Mystery of Locke's father - like Jack's zombie father? How did Locke and/or Ben materialize him to the Island? Because he's already dead? And they are all already dead?... Disappointed that Locke doesn't even try to justify killing or not killing dad before the Others. He just dries up, when he's always waxing lyrical about good and evil and the Island and the whole of human knowledge. Don't like manipulative Locke (trying to push Sawyer to kill his father through a lie), but I understand this makes him more similar to Ben. Should be meaningful. Sawyer/Kate: can it be real without Jack's ghost between them? Sawyer really handsome and funny lately, especially in his interaction with his (?) friends. ("going to take a leak" "us too") Naomi says the plane was found with all the corpses. So, am I right in thinking they're all already dead? And Naomi was given coordinates in the middle of the ocean??? Then the Island doesn't exist? Or the Others skilfully manipulated the finding of the plane? Desmond questions Jack's allegiance - Sayid much better choice for his trust! Go Des! But please, Sayid, don't tell Kate... don't... don't... Oh crap. Oh no. Jack, Juliet and Kate, the Triangle from Hell. Mercifully brief scene. We finally discover who "The man from Tallahassee" is. That's why I love this show, and that's why others hate it - it takes patience. And Sawyer discovers Locke's Dad is the man who caused his parents' death. How does Locke know about it, and about the man Sawyer killed? Did the Others tell him? Oh, Sawyer, sensitive man, he vomits after killing him. 3.20 The Man Behind the Curtain Note: a volcano blew up on the Island. And there were mysterious "hostile natives" even when Ben was a child. Is that Richard in Ben's flashback? He does not age!! Hmmm? Idiot Kate and Idiot Jack again. Jack pretending to be a leader while acting like a jerk and traipsing around with an Other nobody trusts. I understand he's convinced of her good faith (maybe), but couldn't he be a bit more empathic towards his friends? Either he's brainwashed or he's really an idiot. So Mikhail is alive? Good. He's interesting. What's the powdery line that Ben and Locke cross? Wow, did they kill off Locke? Don't think so. The Island will heal him somehow. Who the hell is Jacob? The spirit of the Island? Jack's more evil, invisible other half? 3.21 Greatest Hits Jack decides to solve the Others' problem by blowing them up, and when Charlie and Sayid want instead to sabotage Looking Glass Station to be able to send a message to Naomi's ship, he whines that he's been asked to make decisions for the camp for ninety days (even when he wasn't asked, and treated people paternalistically). Some doctor. You know, Jack, having sworn not to do harm, you should not have accepted to be the leader of a group which could be forced to do a lot of harm, and lose lives in the process. Like Ratchet refuses to take Optimus' place in my fanfic. And was that demonstrative explosion the best idea in an island crawling with Others? So that's what the cable was for! To connect Looking Glass station to the others. Another piece falls into place. (That's why I love etc etc) Sweet Charlie writing his "Greatest Hits". Great leitmotiv for the ep. Loved Des, trying to cheat fate for Charlie's (and Claire's and Aaron's) sake. Charlie knocking out Des reminds me of some very famous scene, but I can't remember now... Oh yes, maybe the end of Armageddon? But there must be something else... maybe something I myself wrote... unconsciously copying the end of Armageddon. |
