THURSDAY MADNESS

Spent a night so uncomfortable that I tore off completely the eiderdown from the bed and scattered all my plushies on the floor. I had earplugs on to allow Dad to watch TV, set the alarm etc without fear of disturbing me, and at the same time I was worried that he could find himself locked in or something. At 0730 I was wide awake, as most normal people are at that time, but I was convinced someone had knocked at my door. I ran outside my room, but it was probably Dad going out and pulling the main door behind him.

So I shower and run out to see the therapist. I've already decided that this afternoon sadly I won't go to the Remembrance meeting, for my sanity. En route I receive a very urgent translation assignment. But I also call another therapist I was scared to call and fix an appointment for next week - the day after my return from Germany. Interesting that my trip to Germany is bracketed between therapists. Things are looking up from that side, however, I'll tell you when I can.

Leave therapist and off to MediaWorld. But I had been there yesterday, to buy a cheap MP3 reader for my German lessons! Yes, but I had forgotten my GIFT COUPONS. I've already burned 30 points with December's coupon, sure as hell I'm not going to burn January's! I need to spend at least 20 euros and I know very well what I want: LOST's 5th and 6th season I saw yesterday!

Turned out I saw the BluRay version. So I spend an eternity in the store, looking for something worth 20 euros that I actually want, and imagining my aunt and the water guy waiting outside my shiny new gate. At last I get "Inglorious Basterds" in the crappy 1-disk version and, of course, Young Brynden aka Prince of Persia. So sue me.

Fidelization? Gimme a break. Last year, with the few points I had, I got the softest Bassetti quilt ever, gratis. And now it's convinced me to buy a couple of things I wanted but was in doubt about. You say I didn't need me? I beg to differ. Young Brynden is so cute.

Now home, waiting for the water guy and my aunt, eating something and watching TRON in the remotest chance we go see TRON LEGACY tonight. And I still have to translate the letter and buy the ticket.

Watching Tron and translating. One of these activities is going badly. Tron really sucks, Jeff or no Jeff.

Back at travel agency. They can't sell me an international ticket. Off to Central Station, where a really nice lady sells me the ticket and says that all travel agencies should. European City my a$$.

No Tron Legacy. Judging from the original, I haven't missed much.
