HANDS OFF RATCHET!

With all the fuss I'm making to find the Perfect Optimus, getting the first Ratch I see is like waiting a lifetime "saving oneself" for the right guy and then grabbing the first handsome hitchhiker who comes your way. And Ratch is even ugly as hell. (I love his personality and the way he looks in my mind.) I mean, how can Optimus kiss him (see stories) when he has the whole front of his vehicle jutting out of his chest? You can't even reach his face! (which is ugly)

Anyway, by this you can understand that at Cartoomics there were no Optimi that weren't hideous or excessively costly (and Opti HAS to be handsome.) So there Ratch stood on a booth, the most miserable form of action figure, i.e. without blister wrapping. I didn't even know what model he is; I think he is the infamous greenish first version. But he was on DISCOUNT. And most especially, he was whispering to me in a throaty voice. "Hello, cute fembot. I'm yours, if you want me. You know you want me. I'll be yours forever, or until you break me by transforming me endlessly."

It took two visits to the booth to decide, and even then I pretended to look for something else. Well, I asked for Opti but I was pointed to the most horrible Korean imitation I've ever seen. They had other TFs, though. They had a gorgeous Movie Starscream (which means "even uglier than Ratch which is saying a lot" but he TRANSFORMED into a plane) and I didn't get him, afraid I was spending too much on my crazyness... when I heard how much my friends spent on theirs, I regretted having left the Screamer behind! I can hear him now, in whatever box he's been stored, calling "Mommy!" (yes, that's what he whispers, and not in a throaty voice)

So I took my Ratchy home and I made a solemn promise. He'll stay untouched until I have finished The Thing. Even when I masochistically placed him above my desk, my hands itched with burning desire to transform him into vehicle mode. I think I might have rolled a wheel or flexed an elbow as I positioned him. Hmmmmmmm. Teasing. Anyway, THERE HE STAYS.

Other Cartoomics news:

- Hugged and kissed a total stranger. I do have an explanation, and no, it wasn't the 4 beers.

- Oh yeah, there were my dear Confederate friends and the Beer Festival at the same time, guess what I did when I wasn't hunting Transformers? I even got a glass and a pocket to carry the glass around, and discovered the wonderful world of glass washing machines!

- Got a REALLY HANDSOME and cheap Sirius Black figure (see pic above) who will stay to keep Ratch company until I have finished work.

- Saw old friends, one in particular who swept me away with his happiness at seeing us. I'm always so shy with old friends, thinking they don't care for me anymore 'cause I stay away so long, and it was refreshing.

Back to work! They haven't sent the dogs yet and I'm beginning to see the end of the tunnel...

PS: Now I know what edged laser weapon my Elita will wear: a falcata.
